Your purpose


Your role as Product Director (Community) will focus on leading a team of Product Managers through the discovery and delivery of self service tooling that enables communities to create high quality experiences for likeminded people both online and IRL.

Our mission is to build a better world where social technology no longer optimises for engagement quantity. You will already have your preferred blueprints, models and methodologies but we expect you to also have the courage and conviction to step into unknown spaces while feeling energised by the opportunity to solve complex product challenges with elegance.

Your community


You will be a member of the Proposition team, reporting directly to Chris Prescott, Chief Product Officer. You will be collaborating closely with the entire global Proposition Team and with key stakeholders from the other domains within the AAQUA organisation.

Your focus


You’re equally comfortable leading with your product intuition as you are with following user insights. You can tell great stories but capable of listening attentively. You’re wildly ambitious yet also pragmatic.

Success is an ecosystem containing thousands of self serving communities. While your contributions in the first 6 months will include:

  • Ownership of our community roadmap (outcomes over features)
  • Team management and product leadership
  • Rapid iteration across an early stage product optimised for learning
  • Internal evangelism for our earliest users and their key problems to solve
  • Product systems, processes and culture that sets us up for success

Your contribution will include:

  • Product roadmap
  • Feature releases
  • Collaborate with the team – gather feedback
  • Iterate frequently
  • Overseeing API as a product, identifying and owning key partnerships
  • Managing the developer ecosystem
  • Life cycles … community building …
  • Sound knowledge of our members wants and needs
  • Evolve towards a deeper focus of data, coupled with building member empathy
  • Metrics, online channels, one-on-one interviews, shadowing exercises

Job requirements

Your journey


  • Minimum 10 years experience in various Product roles that include senior and leadership positions.
  • Managed at least 3 Product Managers in a previous role
  • Demonstrable experience building social, mobile first products
  • Demonstrable experience of critical thinking and solving complex product challenges
  • Experience in B2C with at least 100k monthly active users and ideally responsible for millions of people globally
  • Excellent business English: both written and verbal

About You

  • A total obsession for building products people love
  • Passionate about helping other people to develop and progress
  • Preferably based in London. If not, capable of commuting once a fortnight.
  • Interest in Web3, particularly DAOs design and toolkits
