Your Community 


You will be a member of the Trust & Safety team, working closely with your leads, the Head of Policy and Director of Trust and Safety.


Your Purpose


Your role as Legal Policy Lead will focus on developing a policy approach and framework for how Aaqua responses to legal requests and regulatory obligations, while balancing considerations of rights and expression.



Your Focus

Your contribution will include:

  • Iterate relevant policies and strategies to ensure compliance with legal requests and regulatory obligations
  • Partner closely with the Legal team to build in implementation process flows, due process and safeguards for protection of rights and expression.
  • Evaluate, measure and improve frameworks, policies to ensure consistency and relevancy in the industry
  • Build and maintain open communications with internal team in Aaqua at both regional and global level
  • Actively recognize Aaqua’s needs, anticipate issues and propose viable solutions while ensuring compliance

Job requirements

Your Journey

  • J.D., LLB or an equivalent law degree and good standing in a bar association, or a relevant degree
  • 5+ years experience in legal content and policy development within technology or internet industry
  • Passionate about online safety, user privacy and online experience. You must have knowledge and experience in driving legal policy framework for a relevant sector
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking; extremely detail-oriented
  • Keen understanding of the political environment and regulatory framework in Asia or EU as well as experience engaging with regulators is a plus

Given your epic background, you will have deep skills in legal policy framework
