Your Community 

You will be a member of the Trust & Safety team, working closely with your leader, Director of Trust & Safety

Your Purpose

Your role as Head of Policy will focus on developing, executing and managing key policy guidelines. You will be defining a global safety vision and direction in supporting Aaqua’s vision.

Your Focus

Your contribution will include:

  • Defining Aaqua’s product policy which include across safety and privacy considerations, and to lead our team to ensure timely deliverables of policies and enforcement guidelines
  • Represent Aaqua policy proposition on issues relating and affecting our platform at global region including platform integrity, privacy, online safety considerations such as managing hateful behaviour, misinformation etc
  • Socialise the policy framework and vision with other Trust and Safety teams to ensure its effective enforcement and implementation
  • Build and manage Policy Leads, developing them into a team of global experts spearheading innovative online safety approaches
  • Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with cross-functional team to streamline processes and effectively communicate the policy vision and framework to both internal and external stakeholder
  • Support Aaqua’s engagement with policymakers regionally and globally and identifying trends, legislative proposals and policy meetings

Job requirements

Your Journey:

  • At least 10 years experience conceptualizing practicable policies in the area of user and platform safety and security, or other similar T&S field
  • Prior people management experience is required as you will be supporting the building of the policy team. 
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to critically assess qualitative and quantitative data sets. A good understanding of the product policy remit, including an understanding of the network of relevant external partners and stakeholders relevant to the online safety space.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to influence and provide direction to a growing a global team in a diverse, cross-functional set up

Your Knowledge:

Given your epic background, you will have deep skills in policy management within online platform.
