Your Purpose
Your role as Head of Music Partnerships will be to excite the music industry in your region with a refreshing new proposition, to co-create epic music activations & original formats and to broker partnerships with artists, labels, promoters, creators and media businesses, aimed at building vibrant and sustainable communities on the platform.

Your Focus
Your contribution will include:

  • Strategically refining and tailoring the Aaqua proposition to various stakeholder groups within the passion domain of music, collaborating with a core foundation music team
  • Building the region's go to market and scaling plan, leveraging an existing network of industry contacts spanning labels, artists, promoters, MCNs, media, brands etc
  • Negotiating commercial frameworks with partners that are truly win win
  • Devising original content, publishing concepts and event formats, in collaboration with Aaqua studio team
  • Input into brand & acquisition marketing, leveraging sponsorships and media partnerships in music
  • Taking on a broader global responsibility for assigned sub-culture of music (eg festivals, grassroots artists etc) based on make-up of team's experience
  • Setting up account management and partner onboarding for communities being launched
  • Identification of regional partners (eg tech) that could enhance the overall creator and fan proposition on Aaqua
  • Championing music within Aaqua, sharing industry specific trends and insights to help us continually evolve our proposition
  • Provide support on music matters (talent, licensing) etc to other passion domain community teams in the region.

Job requirements

Your Journey

Ideally your career journey to date will have given you experience in or exposure to the following:

  • A minimum 8 years experience, with a proven track record in brokering innovative content partnerships.​
  • Passion for music, industry understanding and broad regional network​
  • Creative hustler that can think laterally and adapt our proposition to fit various businesses and opportunities.​
  • Self-starter, can generate leads and ideas without a templated script and is comfortable in occasional ambiguity.​
  • A keen interest for all things content marketing, creator economy and the future of online communities.​
  • Analytically inclined, with rigorous attention to detail, always improving processes for both members and partners alike.​
  • Commercially astute with experience of managing budgets and exceeding goals within a commercial environment.​
  • Relevant experience may include talent agencies, labels, promoters, DSPS, marketing agencies, social platforms.​


Your Knowledge
Solid appreciation for the nuances of the music landscape including IP rights, some exposure to creator/influencer marketing, presentation skills, P&L management.

Your Knowledge
You will have deep skills/ technical knowledge in Program & Delivery Management. As we are a local to seamless global team to truly connect and collaborate, your business English skills are a must.
